International Applicants and Students
Embracing our International Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Scholar Communities
Approximately 17% of the current students in our biomedical graduate research programs are international. The five year average for the numbers of international graduate students in a given year within the Medical School is 13.6%, with year-over-year increases over the last 3 years. (please see graph below). Our continual increase in numbers of international students reflects our mission for diversifying the workforce within biomedical research enterprise and the importance of sponsoring a global research community for medical discoveries. The Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies works closely with graduate programs, various Medical School units and the International Student and Scholar Services to provide important resources and support for our international students.
