Dr. Vanessa Moll Joins the Department as Vice Chair of Quality and Safety

The Department of Anesthesiology has welcomed Vanessa Moll, MD, PhD, FASA, FCCM, to the department as a professor and our new Vice Chair of Quality and Safety.

Dr. Moll has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the area of quality and safety, having previously served as Chief Medical Officer at Potrero Medical where she worked cross-functionally with the quality and regulatory teams. She has also served as the Medical Director of the CVICU and Director of Quality and Standards at Emory University.

Dr. Moll takes the reins of quality and safety from Dr. Joyce Wahr who has done a phenomenal job during her time as the vice chair, improving many of our quality metrics while launching successful initiatives.

She completed her residency in anesthesiology at Stanford University, followed by a fellowship in critical care medicine, also at Stanford University. She also holds a PhD from the University of Leipzig.
