Maple Grove Ambulatory Surgery Center on List of “Best Surgery Centers”

The Fairview Maple Grove Ambulatory Surgery Center has been recognized on The Women’s Choice Award2019 list of “Best Surgical Centers” for meeting the highest standards in outpatient care. The Women’s Choice Award is one of the country’s leading healthcare referral sources.

“This award is a testament to the high-quality care our patients receive every day. Our team is dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care while ensuring patients have a fantastic experience,” said Heather McNeill, Director of Surgical Services at Fairview Maple Grove Surgery Center. “We are incredibly honored to be one of two surgery centers in Minnesota to receive this award.”

The list is based on the results of the Women's Choice Awards outpatient and ambulatory surgery survey, which focuses on the communication and care provided by health care providers and staff, overall facility rating, and patient recommendation, in addition to other research including national accreditation, pre-surgical and post-surgical coordination, and patient experience. All winners rank above the national average for patient experience.

“This award shows the dedication of all of our staff to ensuring a great patient experience from the time the patient is scheduled to when they are discharged home from our facility. It’s indicative of the attention to detail and warm caring attitude I get to observe daily from all of our staff,” said Jason Habeck, MD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota Medical School and Clinical Chief and Medical Director for the Fairview Maple Grove Ambulatory Surgery Center.
