Susan Culican, MD, PhD

Susan Culican, MD, PhD, is the Senior Associate Dean of Graduate Medical Education (GME), and Co-Leader Office of Medical Education. Dr. Culican is also a Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Neurosciences. Her educational work includes development of Ophthalmology milestones and data-driven residency assessment and she serves on the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Ophthalmology Review Committee.  

Dr. Culican is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Society of Heed Fellows. She conducts clinical research exploring the impact of vision loss in childhood on autism. Her clinical practice centers on eye conditions in children.
