Program for Clinical AI co-Director Chris Tignanelli, MD, MS, and College of Science & Engineering Assistant Professor Ju Sun, PhD, are co-Investigators on a research team that received a $25,000 grant from the American Neurotology Society. The one-year project will start this July and receive funding from the grant for a year.

The goal of their project, titled “Big Data to Personalized Hearing Health: Developing an Open Database for Hearing Devices and a Matching System,” is to develop an integrated data processing system that takes data from a hearing test report and generates a list of eligible hearing device options. The team also wants to create an open database of hearing devices.
