Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) logo

The Greg Marzolf Jr. Muscular Dystrophy Center has a long relationship with the Muscular Dystrophy Association thanks to the MDA's support of both our adult and pediatric clinics. It is through MDA that we have the ability to serve the MD Community both clinically and also through our community support programs. Additionally, MDA has funded various Researchers with the Greg Marzolf Jr. MD Center, including James Ervasti, PhD; ensuring that the work in the laboratory is possible.

The Greg Marzolf Jr. Foundation (GMJF) is dedicated to funding education and research programs benefiting children and families suffering from Muscular Dystrophy and to providing support for patient service care at the Univeristy of Minnesota MD Center. The GMJF supports the Greg Marzolf Jr. Undergraduate Research Fellow program, a Reserach Grant Program, and the MD Center Family Camp.

MHealth Masonic Children's Hospital

Thanks to our outstanding partnership with the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital and specifically the Discovery and Journey Clinic Care Teams, we are able to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to our pediatric patients. Our goal is to bring together a clinical care team to maximize independent function and minimize complications of muscular dustrophy in childre. Our care model invovles a team of specialist to help diagnose and treat all aspects of muscular dystrophy.

Through the support of Kasners Kick Duchenne and their partnership with the Twin's Wives Organization, basic science research initiatives are able to move to translation projects to support potentially patient treatements and improvement in care.

The MD Center partners with the FSHDSociety to provide local and regional support to patients living with FSHD.
