Dr. Courtney Oare is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Medical Physicist in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Minnesota. She completed her Ph.D. in Medical Physics at the University of Minnesota, where her research focused on the dosimetric application of magnetic nanoparticles in eye plaque brachytherapy. Dr. Oare completed her CAMPEP-accredited residency at the University of Utah's Huntsman Cancer Institute and holds ABR certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics. Her research and clinical interests include brachytherapy, Monte Carlo simulations, safety and incidence learning, and image-guided radiation therapy. She is an active member of AAPM, ABS, and ASTRO, and has received multiple awards for her contributions to medical physics, including top honors at AAPM’s Young Investigator Symposium.
