Dr. Jessica E. Vadas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Minnesota. A board-certified medical physicist, she completed her Ph.D. in Nuclear Chemistry and Physics and her Medical Physics training at Indiana University, followed by a residency at Beaumont Health. Dr. Vadas previously served as a clinical medical physicist at Mayo Clinic and has a robust research background in FLASH radiotherapy, fusion of neutron-rich nuclei, and diversity in radiation oncology. She is an active member of the AAPM, contributing to accessibility and LGBTQIA+ initiatives, and is recognized for her advocacy, teaching, and mentorship within the medical physics community. She currently oversees the veterinary radiation therapy program at the UMN Veterinary Medical Center.
