Jianling Yuan, MD, PhD

Dr. Jianling Yuan is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Minnesota Medical School, where she also serves as Vice Chair for Education. She is board-certified in Radiation Oncology and completed her MD and PhD at Yale University, followed by residency training at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Yuan’s clinical expertise includes breast cancer, gynecologic malignancies, and Gamma Knife stereotactic radiosurgery. Regionally, she is widely recognized as a go-to expert for complex breast cancer cases and gynecologic brachytherapy.  As an educator, Dr. Yuan is actively involved in training residents and shaping the department’s curriculum. She leads radiation biology instruction for the residency and medical physics programs, and her teaching materials are shared nationally through the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology (ARRO). Dr. Yuan has received multiple “Top Doctor” honors from Minnesota Monthly and several Clinical Excellence Awards from University of Minnesota Physicians.
