Dr. Joseph A. Moore is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He earned his Ph.D. in Medical Physics, M.S. in Applied Physics and dual B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Physics from Virginia Commonwealth University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Moore is a board-certified medical physicist with extensive clinical experience and previously served as a Senior Clinical Physicist at Johns Hopkins. His research interests include treatment plan optimization, radiation therapy safety, 3D printing, artificial intelligence, and data-driven approaches to improving radiotherapy outcomes. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and actively contributes to national initiatives in radiotherapy quality and standards.
