Kaili Ranta, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She recently completed residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Dr. Ranta attended medical school at The Ohio State University and completed a PhD in Applied Physics from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with research experience in low-field NMR and hyperpolarization techniques. Dr. Ranta’s clinical and other research interests include the treatment of oligometastatic disease, late toxicities after radiation, multidisciplinary spine tumor treatment, primary CNS cancers, CNS metastases, and Gamma Knife radiosurgery. With her combined background in physics and oncology, she is dedicated to advancing patient care through both innovation in treatment delivery and improvement in patient-centric outcomes.
