Sara Alcorn, MD, MPH, PhD

Dr. Sara Alcorn is Vice Chair for Clinical Strategy and an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Minnesota Medical School. A nationally recognized leader in radiotherapy for metastatic disease, breast cancer, and sarcoma, Dr. Alcorn is board-certified in Radiation Oncology and has received multiple “Educator of the Year” honors from the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology. Her clinical and research interests focus on equitable access to radiation therapy, radiation toxicity in diverse populations, and shared decision-making in cancer care. She has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and serves as President of the Society for Palliative Radiation Oncology. Dr. Alcorn earned her MD and MPH from Harvard, her PhD from Johns Hopkins, and previously held faculty appointments at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
