Information for Prospective Partners
Accreditation for Clinical Content
OCPD partners with departments within the University of Minnesota as well as external organizations, professional associations and hospitals/clinics to accredit continuing education courses for the healthcare team. Course types that OCPD certifies include live in-person or virtual events, distance learning/enduring materials, and regularly-scheduled series such as grand rounds, journal clubs, and M&Ms.
Accreditation for Non-Clinical Content
Support your faculty with accredited continuing education for non-clinical topics for which you may already be providing education. OCPD’s new Non-Clinical Accredited CE Service makes it easy to provide accredited continuing education to healthcare providers for programs on subjects like leadership, burnout, billing, EMR, and more, including education where the learner group is in control of the content, such as spontaneous case conversation among peers. Our streamlined service keeps the cost to you low, with the goal of making accreditation for this type of education more accessible. Submit a request for course accreditation today to get started. This service is available for internal University of Minnesota departments only.
Next Steps for Accreditation
If interested in developing a CE course that provides AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM, and potentially additional credit types including ACPE, ANCC, AAPA, and BOC, visit the Course Planning Considerations page for more information about our request and accreditation process.
Other Services
OCPD offers registration services for other events (e.g., non-accredited symposia, faculty events). If you are interested in this service, complete this request form (link opens in a new window) and someone from our team will follow-up with you. Completion of the form does not guarantee OCPD's ability to provide registration services for your event.
