Maria K. Hordinsky, M.D. is Professor and Chair of the Department of Dermatology at the University of Minnesota and is also the Director of the Department’s Clinical Research Division. Dr. Hordinsky is recognized for her expertise and research in hair diseases and the peripheral nervous system as it relates to hair follicle biology. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Scarring Alopecia Foundation. She is also an Immediate Past President of the American Hair Research Society (North, South, Central).
Dr. Hordinsky was a recipient of the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award and has over 200 publications. She regularly lectures and teaches on hair diseases and divides her time between seeing patients with residents and medical students in her clinical practice associated with University of Minnesota Physicians, doing clinical research, teaching, and administration.

Bio
My role through the University includes the mentoring and teaching of dermatology residents in both the outpatient clinic setting and the inpatient hospital setting, as well as through formal didactic lectures throughout the year. I also am involved in mentoring residents in academic writing of research proposals and manuscripts. My clinical research interests include contact dermatitis, medical dermatology, and hospital dermatology.

I serve as an instructor for the outpatient clinics, inpatient consults, as well as procedural dermatology for residents and medical students that rotation through HCMC. I also serve as a mentor for residents in clinical research, as well as students who have an interest in dermatology. My academic interests include cutaneous diseases in patients with skin of color, complex medical dermatology, Hansen's disease

Dr. Maher is a Professor, Director of Dermatology, and Mohs Fellowship Director at University of Minnesota. He is a nationally recognized expert in the field of Mohs surgery and facial reconstruction. His research focuses on outcome measurement and the development of new reconstructive techniques.

Bio
I am a dermatologist with a special interest in complex medical dermatology particularly cutaneous lymphomas and connective tissue diseases such as Lupus, Dermatomyositis, and Systemic Sclerosis. I completed a fellowship at NYU in advanced medical dermatology with an emphasis in these areas. I enjoy collaborating with other physicians to provide high quality, patient centered, multi-disciplinary care for individuals with these types of rare and complicated diseases.
