University of Minnesota Medical Center: M Health Fairview
This site offers specialty service rotations in spine, sports, tumor, foot and ankle, hand, and adult reconstruction. This is the flagship hospital for the residency program and is the site for weekly program-wide Grand Rounds and core curriculum lectures.
Hennepin County Medical Center
The Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) is a Level-1 Trauma Center with faculty of nationally distinguished traumatologists. A wide variety of multisystem trauma is treated with over 2,500 operative cases and 17,000 orthopedic visits annually.
Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare
This site provides pediatric orthopedic rotations for the residency program with a faculty of fellowship-trained pediatric orthopedic surgeons.
Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Medical Center
The Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is the primary location for adult reconstruction rotations. The Minneapolis VAMC performs more total joints than any other VA in the country. This provides a well-supervised experience for residents to learn primary and revision total joint arthroplasties and general adult orthopedics.
Regions Hospital
Regions Hospital, located in St. Paul, provides a unique Level-1 Trauma experience in a privately owned hospital with exposure to all areas of orthopedic trauma. Additionally, residents are exposed to adult reconstruction, shoulder, hand, and foot and ankle surgery.
TRIA Orthopedic Center
This state-of-the-art outpatient orthopedic center includes a surgery center, general and subspecialty clinics, rehabilitation services, and an education research facility. TRIA also houses a hands-on surgical skills lab for resident training as well as rotations in sports and foot and ankle surgery.
