Krystal received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University and her Master of Science in Pathologists’ Assistant from Rosalind Franklin University. She is actively involved in the pathology residency program including performing monthly evaluations on the resident's rotation in surgical pathology, matching residents within their subspeciality and experience level as well as training of on-call residents and fellows. Outside of the laboratory, Krystal volunteers for the American Association of Pathologists' Assistants education committee, creating continuing education content for fellow members.
