LMP announces the appointment of Aastha Chauhan to our faculty as an assistant professor effective September 30.

Chauhan received an MBBS from Goa Medical College, India, and a MD Pathology from PGIMER Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi. She completed residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology in LMP, where she was chief resident. She also completed gastrointestinal and cytopathology fellowships in LMP. Chauhan was the recipient of the Kenneth F. Ernst Award in recognition of superior research in pathology by trainees: Best AP Project 2020.

Chauhan's research interests are in pancreatic adenocarcinoma variants and their molecular signatures and in optimizing cytology cell blocks in lung cancers for ancillary testing.
