The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology announces the appointment of Evann Hilt to our faculty as an assistant professor effective August 2.

Hilt comes to us from the University of California, Los Angeles, following completion of a clinical microbiology and public health fellowship in June. During her fellowship she received bench training in bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, parasitology, immunology and serology, and virology, including molecular methods.

Hilt earned a PhD in microbiology and immunology from Loyola University Chicago. She was licensed in M(ASCP)CM – Medical Technologist in Microbiology, American Society of Clinical Pathology -- in 2020.
