Jacky Lu, PhD, M(ASCP)CM joined LMP as an assistant professor and microbiologist June 29. 

Lu received a PhD in microbiology and immunology from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in clinical and public health microbiology from the Children's Hospital Los Angeles/Keck School of Medicine of USC 

Lu was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine.

Vince Duan, PhD

Ruizhi "Vince" Duan, PhD joined LMP as an assistant professor and geneticist July 20.

Duan earned a PhD in genetics and genomics from the Baylor College of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in laboratory genetics and genomics at Washington University, St. Louis. 

He is a Member of the ClinGen Resource Splicing Working Group. ClinGEn is an NIH-funded resource dedicated to building a central resource that defines the clinical relevance of genes and variants for use in precision medicine and research. Duan is also a committee member, 2026 Annual Meeting Program Committee, Cancer Genomics Consortium.

Derek Loneman, MD

Derek Loneman, MD joins LMP as an assistant professor and hematopathologist July 31.

Loneman earned an MD from the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine. He completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, where he was chief resident in anatomic pathology. He completed a fellowship in hematopathology at Mass General Brigham, Harvard Medical School.
