The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology announces the appointment of Kevin Turner to our faculty as an associate professor effective March 31.

Turner completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Cincinnati and fellowship training in gastrointestinal pathology at Miraca Life Sciences, Irvin, Texas. He has practiced at Inform Diagnostics in Irving, Texas since 2014. His areas of clinical research interest are gastritis, intestinal metaplasia, and eosinophilic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Turner has authored/co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed scientific articles and four book chapters. He has been a leading consultant for eosinophilic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and has served as the central histopathologist in multiple FDA pharmaceutical trials involving eosinophilic esophagitis, eosinophilic duodenitis, and eosinophilic gastritis.
