Mehrnoosh Tashakori, MD, PhD joins LMP in hematopathology

The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology announces the appointment of Mehrnoosh Tashakori to our faculty as an assistant professor effective July 30. Tashakori comes to us from the Department of Hematopathology, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Tashakori earned her M.D. from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences School of Medicine, Tehran, Iran, and a Ph.D. in cancer genetics, genes and development from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She was a fellow in Department of Hematopathology, Division of Pathology and Lab Medicine, the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and a resident in anatomic and clinical pathology in the Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine, Henry Ford Health System, Detroit.
