Yanli Ding, MD, PhD, joins LMP in renal pathology
LMP announces the appointment of Yanli Ding to our faculty as an associate professor effective September 19.
Ding received an MD from Norman Bethune University of Medical Sciences, China and a PhD in molecular and cellular biology from Ohio University. She completed residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at Boston University, where she was chief resident. Ding was a renal pathology fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
Ding comes to us from the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, UT Health San Antonio, San Antonio, Texas, where she was principal renal pathologist at UT Health San Antonio Hospital and provided renal pathology service and consultation for local medical centers. She was active in education in the pathology residency program and the nephrology fellowship program.
Ding's research interests are in the development of organoid-based models for the study of neuroendocrine tumors and targeted drug therapies for metastatic renal cell carcinomas.
