IBP faculty Awarded University of Minnesota Land Grant Professorships

Congratulations to the Land Grand Professorship recipients from the department of Integrative Biology and Physiology!

Dr. Emilyn Alejandro has been awarded the University of Minnesota Land Grant Professorship in Diabetes.  Emilyn's lab focuses on understanding the developmental origins of metabolic dysfunction in insulin resistance, obesity and type 2 diabetes.

Dr. Tim O'Connell has been awarded the University of Minnesota Land Grant Professorship in Cardiovascular Physiology.  The O'Connell lab primarily focuses on G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling in heart failure.

Dr. Hai-Bin Ruan has been awarded the University of Minnesota Land Grand Professorship in Metabolism.  The long-term goal of the Ruan lab is to elucidate immunometabolic mechanisms of tissue remodeling, inflammation, and disease susceptibility.
