We conduct world-renowned magnetic resonance research and clinical imaging research at our two research centers—CMRR and CCIR.

Our Department's mission is to continuously improve the health of the people of Minnesota and beyond, through innovative, high quality and effective patient care, education, and research, in the field of Radiology. 

The Department of Radiology would like to welcome our newest residents.

The Interventional Radiology division welcomed Daniel Zarama, MD in January 2026. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Dr. Zarama grew up in Woodbury, MN and completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Minnesota.

The newest addition to the Breast Imaging division, Divya Shenoy, MD, joined the department in January 2026. She grew up in Ohio/West Virginia until she was ten years old, and then spent the rest of her childhood in Mississippi.
