We conduct world-renowned magnetic resonance research and clinical imaging research at our two research centers—CMRR and CCIR.

Department Head, Charles A. Dietz, Jr., MD

Our Department's mission is to continuously improve the health of the people of Minnesota and beyond, through innovative, high quality and effective patient care, education, and research, in the field of Radiology. 

Dr. Ece Meram joins us as an Assistant Professor in the Interventional Radiology division. She grew up in Gaziantep, in southeast Türkiye.

Dr. Joseph Fotos joined the Nuclear Medicine division as an Associate Professor in August. He moved with his family from Hershey, PA, after completing his medical school, residency, and fellowship training at Penn State Milton S.

Dr. Michael Clifon recently joined the Interventional Radiology division as an Assistant Professor. He is originally from Jacksonville, FL, and comes to us from the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW). During his time in TX, Dr.
