Dr. Tim Emory participated in an interview with KARE 11 news on March 13 to discuss recently amended FDA regulations that require medical facilities to notify patients about breast density.

The FDA has updated its mammography regulations to require the reporting of breast density. In the interview, Dr. Tim Emory discusses the importance of early screening and the higher likelihood of cancer associated with dense breast tissue. Almost half of women over the age of 40 in the United States have dense breast tissue. Finding breast cancer early may reduce the amount of treatment needed and save lives.
