Summary

Dr. Speltz graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed her pediatric and neurology training at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. She is board certified in neurology with a special qualification in child and adolescent neurology. She is also board certified in epilepsy. She previously spent five years working at Gillette Children's Hospital in St. Paul, MN where she focused on the care of children with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. She returned to the University of Minnesota to pursue her passion for global health and adoption medicine. Currently, she is collaborating with the International Organization on Migration to share her knowledge about cerebral palsy and epilepsy with her international colleagues who care for refugee populations. In her outpatient clinic work, she enjoys taking care of children with developmental delays, cerebral palsy, hypotonia, autism, epilepsy, headaches, tics, ADHD and a variety of neurological conditions.
