Lawrence Boies Sr. Alumni Society
The Lawrence Boies Sr. Alumni Society was formed to help keep alumni in contact with each other and the department.
The Society was named after Lawrence Boies Sr., who served as head of the department from 1943-1967. Boies invented a surgical tool known as the Boies elevator, used in nose fracture cases, and was instrumental in developing the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Ophthalmology Boards.
