New M Health Fairview Adult Post-COVID Clinic

We are excited to announce the new M Health Fairview Adult Post-COVID Clinic. The clinic is a collaboration of specialties coming together to offer a centralized service for patients experiencing ongoing, longer-term physical and/or cognitive symptoms resulting from COVID (long haulers) to facilitate optimal recovery and quality of life.

Ideal patients will be 3-4 weeks post-hospital discharge or non-hospitalized with ongoing functional deficits. This clinic will provide an initial comprehensive assessment virtually by a COVID provider designated by the M Health Fairview Rehabilitation Medicine Department. The provider will identify the patients’ needs, develop a treatment plan, and refer patients to appropriate services. These services may include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, pulmonary rehab, cardiac rehab, neuropsychology, behavioral health, etc.

The new Adult Post-COVID Clinic is an added M Health Fairview COVID patient care option along with the existing Post ICU Survivorship Clinic (immediate post-discharge) and M Health Fairview Rehabilitation Services COVID-19 Rehabilitation Program (direct referral to individual services).
