Foot & Ankle
As a core subspecialty of orthopedic surgery, foot and ankle surgery focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions that affect the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. This includes injuries, arthritis, and other degenerative or congenital issues. Common procedures include fracture repair, tendon repair, reconstructive surgery, and corrective procedures for deformities. The goal is to alleviate pain, restore function, and improve mobility, helping patients return to their daily activities with greater comfort and confidence.
The Foot & Ankle Surgery division within the University of Minnesota's Department of Orthopedic Surgery is a distinguished program specializing in the treatment and care of foot and ankle conditions. Our talented faculty are committed to delivering outstanding clinical care, advancing research that drives innovation, and providing comprehensive education to fellows, residents, and medical students.
