Our Providers

We recruit the brightest doctors to combine their expertise to advance the field of urology. In doing so, we deliver top-notch patient care, provide exceptional training to students and residents, and serve as a leader in researching and developing therapies for urologic disorders.

Our department continues to grow. We have more doctors treating patients now than ever before, which means more personalized, patient-focused care. In fact, when former University President Robert Bruininks was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2010, he turned to the Department of Urology, receiving treatment from former department head and world-class surgeon, Dr. Badrinath Konety.

Our faculty train the next generation of urologists using innovative tools like the M Simulation Center—a state-of-the-art facility where learners can practice procedures in a realistic environment. Using lifelike models and scenario simulations, physicians and trainees refine their surgical skills and decision-making in a safe, hands-on setting that closely mirrors real patient care.

Since we are part of an academic setting, our physician researchers can take a collaborative approach to developing new treatments and cures the most common to most complex urologic conditions. Partnerships with the Masonic Cancer Center and Institute for Therapeutics Discovery and Development provide our researchers with the resources necessary to discover the revolutionary therapies and treatments for our patients.
