Dr. Alireza Sadeghi-Tarakameh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Minnesota and a member of the Center for Magnetic Resonance Research (CMRR). He received his PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University, Turkey, where he specialized in RF systems and electromagnetic engineering. His research focuses on advancing MRI technology for ultrahigh field applications, including RF coil design, safety validation, and novel imaging methods for mapping brain structure and function. He is also actively involved in developing and validating MRI safety techniques for patients with deep brain stimulation (DBS) implants. Dr. Sadeghi-Tarakameh is a key member of the 10.5 T imaging team working to enable whole-brain structural and functional connectivity mapping at unprecedented resolution.
