Research Summary/Interests

In addition to her clinical interests, Dr. Nguyen is active in many aspects of medical education and scientific research. Her primary research interest is improving care quality for trauma patients. She has delivered several lectures on a variety of trauma topics in national conferences and authored multiple orthopedic research abstracts, manuscripts, and textbook chapters. Dr. Nguyen is particularly passionate about resident education having mentored medical students and residents throughout her career.

Having done all her medical training at busy level I trauma centers, Dr. Nguyen specializes in the operative treatment of general extremity fractures, peri-articular fractures, complex fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum, peri-prosthetic fractures (fractures occurring around a joint replacement), and the treatment of multiply injured patients.
