Research Labs & Programs
Welcome to our Research Labs & Programs!
Our research is dedicated to advancing the field of otolaryngology through a diverse range of specialized research areas. From cutting-edge treatments for ear, nose, and throat disorders to innovative approaches in facial reconstructive surgery, we explore a broad spectrum of conditions. With a commitment to improving patient outcomes, our team continuously seeks to expand knowledge and refine techniques, ensuring comprehensive care for conditions that affect the complex head and neck structures.

Ondrey Research
Ondrey's Research Program
Dr. Frank Ondrey's research goal is to find drugs that reduce head and neck cancer incidence, while providing screening services for patients with precancerous conditions. Starting in 1999, his research comprehensive bench-to-bedside program focuses on head and neck carcinogenesis to improve understanding of disease and improve outcomes. Studying treatments and molecular risks for the development of head and neck cancers.
Dr. Ondrey also manages the AeroCore Testing Service, a research facility that provides aerosol/vapor exposures to rodent animal models for the purpose of testing the safety and efficacy of inhaled materials. AeroCore Research is supported by the Masonic Cancer Center, College of Pharmacy, and the Department of Otolaryngology.
