University of Minnesota Medical Center Recognized as Top Hospital in the Twin Cities

The Department of Urology and the Institute for Prostate and Urologic Cancers are pleased to share the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings. M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center (UMMC) has once again been recognized as the #1 hospital in the Twin Cities metro area and #2 in Minnesota, rising from #3 in the state rankings last year. M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital was also recognized among the region's best, ranking #2 in the Twin Cities and #3 in Minnesota.

Beyond these rankings, UMMC earned national recognition for excellence across multiple specialty areas and was named a Best Regional Hospital for Community Access, highlighting its success in providing high-quality care to patients from all socioeconomic backgrounds throughout Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.

The Department of Urology is especially proud of UMMC's recognition for high performance in prostate cancer surgery, with outcomes rated significantly better than the national average.
