Inclusive Excellence
The University of Minnesota Department of Neurosurgery recognizes inclusive excellence work as a constantly dynamic, iterative process that will continuously evolve in response to the current context and any emerging issues. Major social and political changes over the past decades have led to a large number of organizations taking steps to increase the social impact and the sense of belonging within the community. Furthermore, there has been a growing appreciation for the relevance of dedicated efforts to promote fairness and access and opportunity in our daily work including our workforce and pipeline, our academic mission including our research.
