O-Uchi Lab Members Awardees at Experimental Biology Conference
Two members of the O-Uchi lab were singled out for awards at the April 2022 Experimental Biology Conference in Philadelphia.
![]() Iuliia Polina, Ph.D. received the Cell Section of the Physiological Reports Award for the highest-scoring abstract submitted to the American Physiological Society for the conference. Dr. Polina`s research focuses on the regulation of ion channels/transporters in cardiac physiology and pathophysiology. One of her current major projects is the impact of COVID-19 on cardiac electrophysiology. |
![]() Undergraduate Maria Landherr earned a Barbara A. Horwitz and John M. Horowitz Outstanding Abstract Award, a highly competitive award that recognizes the highest-scoring abstracts from undergraduate students submitted to the American Physiological Society. Maria is a student at St. Olaf College and was an LHI Summer Scholar in 2021. Currently, she is a part-time undergraduate researcher at the U of MN, continuing the project she began as a summer scholar. The abstract which earned her this award is based on that project. |
