Lillehei Clinical Research Unit

The Lillehei Clinical Research Unit (LCRU) is located on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota campus in the Phillips Wangensteen Building at 516 Delaware St SE. We are next to the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview and the Malcolm Moos Health Sciences Tower. This innovative trials center conducts research in all aspects of cardiovascular disease and its prevention. We recruit study participants from Minnesota and nationally to help answer critical questions about new treatment modalities, innovative medical devices, and disease prevention strategies.

The University of Minnesota Cardiovascular faculty offices are located at 401 East River Road in the Variety Club Heart and Research Center. Our faculty are leading experts within their sub-specialties, and bring that breadth of knowledge to cardiovascular research. Together with our Community Practice Cardiologists located at Fairview Southdale in Edina, MN we have 50 Cardiologists participating in Clinical Trials.
