LHI offers annual summer research scholarships in basic science research related to cardiovascular disease. These scholarships seek to expose highly qualified students to several disciplines within CV disease research and its clinical applications.
LHI is a premier clinical & basic science research institute focusing on cardiovascular genomics, heart development & regeneration, stem cell therapies, heart failure, vascular biology, and device design to treat cardiovascular diseases.
The LHI Lecture Series is a weekly event which runs from September through June, showcasing the leading edge research taking place both here at the University of Minnesota and institutions across the United States and abroad.

The Lillehei Heart Institute was built more than twenty years ago on the legacy of University of Minnesota icons who created a culture of innovation and discovery. Today, established investigators work together with the next generation of young investigators to advance scientific discovery in the development of cardiovascular disease therapies and to provide training and education for our future cardiovascular scientists and physicians.
