I am an Assistant Professor and Program Director of the Addiction Medicine Fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. I also work for the VA in Minneapolis and for the 5-state regional VISN system.
My special areas of interest include treating co-occurring substance use and mental health and chronic pain, as well as studying recovery capital and its impact on long-term recovery.
I received my BA from Cornell University, with a double major in Biology and Public Policy. I received my MD from St. George’s University School of Medicine, and a Master of Public Health from George Washington University School of Public Health. I completed my Family Medicine Residency (UMMC Program) and an addiction medicine fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
