Exciting Collaboration with Essentia Health Duluth

In 2024, our Division of Cardiac Surgery partnered with the Cardiology and Cardiothoracic programs at Essentia Health in Duluth to enhance cardiothoracic surgical services over 1-2 years. One of our esteemed faculty members now spends one week each month on-site, delivering exceptional clinical care. This collaboration has already benefited dozens of patients, demonstrating the remarkable synergy between our teams.

Reconnecting with University of Minnesota-trained colleagues at Essentia Health and witnessing their outstanding work firsthand has been particularly rewarding. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to serve Minnesota's communities, and we eagerly anticipate further strengthening our relationship with Essentia Health in the coming years.
