I grew up in South Dakota and trained at Advocate Christ EM Residency in Chicago. I worked for eight years in private sector EM before joining VA EM in 2014. I am passionate about teaching and promoting excellence in emergency care for our veterans. My academic interests include simulation education, resuscitation, and teamwork. I served as the founding director of the University of South Dakota Parry Center for Clinical Skills and Simulation in 2012-2013. I have conducted simulation research in stress and learning and resuscitation.
