UMNSurgery Presents at the 42nd Annual Surgical Infection Society Conference
The Department of Surgery (DoS) was well-represented at the 42nd Annual Surgical Infection Society Conference in California last week (April 11-14, 2023), featuring fellow residents and current medical students presenting their research supported by DoS faculty mentors.
The Surgical Infection Society was founded in 1981 to advance science and promote research in the understanding, preventing, and management of surgical infections.
Resident and medical student presenters included Abigail Raiter, MS2 (mentor Dr. Kristin P. Colling), Bridget Dillon, MS2 (mentor Dr. Melissa Brunsvold), and resident Kristiana Sather, MD (mentor Dr. Beth Lusczek).
Faculty physicians Drs. Kris Colling, Jeff Chipman, Jennifer Rickard, and Cyrus Jahansous serve individually as Surgical Infection Society committee leaders.
