On March 24th, 2025, the State of Minnesota, Bureau of Mediation Services, received a petition filed by the Committee of Interns and Residents, Long Island City, New York. With a majority support confirmed through valid authorization cards, the Bureau of Mediation Services (BMS) certified the union as the exclusive representative of UMN GME residents/fellows on May 9, 2025.
