Melissa Brunsvold, MD, FACS, FCCM, Announced as ACGME Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Award Recipient
Dr. Melissa Brunsvold, Professor in the Division of Critical Care & Acute Care Surgery and Vice Chair for Surgical Education, has been selected as one of ten program directors in the nation to receive the esteemed Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Award from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
From among many highly talented program directors in graduate medical education, her nomination rose to the top.
The Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Award recognizes program directors who have fostered innovation and improvement in their programs and served as exemplary role models for residents and fellows.
She will be recognized at the 2025 ACGME Annual Educational Conference, which will take place February 20-22, 2025, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee, with fellow 2025 ACGME Awards recipients.
