Save The Bottoms, led by Dr. Elliot Arsoniadis and his team, made a significant impact at this year's Minneapolis Pride, achieving remarkable success and demonstrating their ongoing commitment to community health equity and awareness.

Minneapolis Pride Highlights 2024

This year, Save The Bottoms experienced a 60% increase in participants compared to 2023. The rise in participants emphasizes the growing awareness and importance of anal health within the community.

Out of the 144 participants who visited the booth on Saturday and Sunday, only 20 required the assistance of a clinician to perform their anal pap smear. This screening process allowed for self-sufficiency and bodily autonomy.

For the first time, Save The Bottoms offered HPV vaccinations at the event, administering a total of 41 vaccines! This year's addition was a significant step forward in preventing HPV-related cancers.

The average age of participants was 43 years old, highlighting the importance of regular screenings as the risk of anal cancer increases with age.

Save The Bottoms continues to advocate for anal health awareness and encourages everyone to participate in regular screenings and vaccinations. By making these services accessible, they aim to educate and inform people at higher risk of anal cancer about available screening and treatment options.
