Dr. Mohineesh Kumar is a vascular surgeon and Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Minnesota. He obtained his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at William Beaumont University Hospital–Corewell Health East in Royal Oak, Michigan. He then returned to Indiana University to complete his vascular surgery fellowship.
Dr. Kumar’s clinical practice focuses on open and endovascular treatment of complex aortic pathologies, including aneurysms, dissections, connective tissue diseases, and trauma. He is also passionate about lower extremity revascularization for the treatment of chronic limb-threatening ischemia, carotid artery revascularization for stroke prevention, and dialysis access management.

Dr. Kumar’s research focuses on outcomes after aortic surgery, peripheral arterial disease, and carotid disease. He is actively involved in clinical research and has presented his work at the Midwest Vascular Surgical Society, the Vascular and Endovascular Surgical Society, and the American College of Surgeons Annual Meeting.
