Dr. Rui Zhang Inducted into 2026 AIMBE College of Fellows

Rui Zhang,  PhD, FAMCI, FAMIA, FIAHSI, Professor and Chief of the Division of Computational Health Sciences, joined the 2026 Class of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering College of Fellows.

Election to the AIMBE College of Fellows is among the highest professional distinctions awarded to medical and biological engineers, representing the top two percent of professionals in the field.

AIMBE recognized Dr. Zhang for pioneering contributions in clinical large-language model reasoning and integrative artificial intelligence frameworks that advance complex disease understanding and uncover therapeutic insights.

AIMBE formally inducted Dr. Zhang during the Annual Event on April 13, 2026, in Arlington, Virginia, along with 175 members of the 2026 class.
