The Office of Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) is the University of Minnesota system-wide office authorized to submit research proposals and receive awards from external sources on behalf of the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota. SPA is also the fiduciary for the U on grant-related matters.

Electronic Grants Management System (EGMS)

EGMS is a series of databases with a Web-front-end that you can use to complete proposal forms for submission to sponsors and University forms related to sponsored projects or research.

Lauren supports the research efforts for the faculty in the divisions of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics, Gynecology, Midwifery & Family Planning. This includes identifying grants, assisting with the development of study workflows and protocols that work within clinical and ethical guidelines, assisting in the IRB process management and submissions, developing data collection tools (RedCap, Qualtrics), and data wrap-up and analysis.

Aaron supports and coordinates all aspects of clinical research in the division of Gynecologic Oncology. This includes working in the clinic to actively recruit research subjects and to provide research information & selection criteria for providers. Provides tools to all providers on open and pending trials, pre-screening in EPIC for prospective research subjects, retrieving samples and bringing to PhD laboratories, subject data entry and management (RedCap), assisting faculty and fellows on planning new research studies.
