Bio
Dr. Cirillo-Penn is focused on the open surgical and endovascular treatment of aneurysms, dissections of the aorta, including complex abdominal, thoracoabdominal and aortic arch aneurysm. His passion for aortic surgery stems from his training at Mayo Clinic under Drs. Thomas Bower, Gustavo Oderich, Manju Kalra, Jill Colglazier, and Bernardo Mendes. He is also interested in prediction and treatment of mesenteric ischemia. Dr. Cirillo-Penn is a committed academic surgeon with a passion for aortic and mesenteric research as well as the education of future vascular surgeons. During his training he won multiple awards including the D. Emerick Szilagyi Award for Most Outstanding Clinical Research presented by the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society and the Peter Gloviczki, M.D. Research and Academic Award presented by the Mayo Clinic Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery.
