Dr. Bulander is an associate professor in the division of Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery. He earned his MD at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and completed general surgery residency and critical care fellowship at the University of Minnesota in 2011. He holds a PhD in the history of medicine from the University of Minnesota. He joined the department as faculty in 2017 and has been the Program Director of the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship since 2018. He is co-chair of the University's mortality review committee, and serves on the compliance, clinical case review, credentialing and medical school admissions committees. In addition to work with residents and fellows, he is an instructor in the first- and second-year medical school clinical skills and problem-based learning courses.
